...well, to be more precise, it's a long time since I've done anything more than check in here.  I have a full life at the moment (somehow) and often don't have time to sift through my watch list, or respond to comments or likes or features.  But I do enjoy looking at the wonders that other, better artists have worked and shared here.  And I do appreciate all the things people have said about the art that I post here.  It is encouraging, especially when I have so little time to devote to drawing, to know that people look at it when I finally get something done. I haven't posted anything here for a while, but I'm still working on art.  I posted the work-in-progress pics for three current projects on www.facebook.com/gloriadei.art where I comment on my progress and thoughts about the piece. I will put the finished work here on dA when they're done.  Probably the "burning heart" illustration will be next completed. Also, I ordered some cards from dA with my work on it--they look great!

I found this opportunity for pencil artists : http://www.artistsnetwork.com/strokesofgenius I really want to enter something, but I don't know which one of my pieces is most about tone and values.  Or whether I should make something new just for this contest.  There's not much time before the deadline, and I'm working on a commission right now.  I think "Chesterton" is the best tonally of what I have, but I don't know about entering work based on photos that I did not take... Also, I decided to put WIPs on my Facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/gloriadei.art  and keep the dA account for finished work.
